Open Code Technologies is the company behind Recareer, a job board that centralizes remote positions of top-quality companies around the World.
As we plan to expand the adoption of the job board, we need experienced sales professionals to join the team. The ideal candidate won't simply follow the existing processes but will play a pivotal role in forming the foundations of the sales process.

About the role
As mentioned, you will join as the first person in the Sales team. It is an exceptional opportunity to let you decide which best practices should apply to the sales processes. Hence, the key responsibilities may miss some points.
Key Responsibilities
Implement best practices for the sales processes: we expect you to be able to set up all the necessary bits needed for the sales process.
Strategic planning: participate in strategic planning to identify key accounts, set sales goals, and develop strategies to achieve them. Collaborate with the rest of the team to align sales efforts as necessary.
Sales and revenue generation: acquire new clients and identify sales opportunities with existing clients. Drive the whole sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals. Although our primary goal is to grow the customer base, client retention is the backbone of our business.
Market research: we are making decisions based on metrics (most of the time). To help you work efficiently, we occasionally need to get insights into the market from your point of view. Therefore, in some cases, we will ask you to prepare market research.
Reporting and analysis: in the long run, the sales team will include multiple members. You will need to make reports about the current state of the plan we put together (see "Strategic Planning"). No nonsense, but we need to know where we stand with the plans.
Communication and collaboration: you need to collaborate with the current non-sales team and potential future team members. Although we work asynchronously, letting everyone work at the pace they get used to, sometimes a meeting will be required, especially in the beginning when the processes get created.

As mentioned, we are working asynchronously. Most of the communication will happen on Twist or by email.
Hiring process
Our hiring process has the following steps:
Application review: Submit your application, highlighting your relevant experience and achievements.
Initial interview: A virtual meeting to discuss your background, skills, and alignment with our values.
Final Interview: An in-depth conversation to discuss all your remaining questions and every aspect of the work.
Offer: If selected, receive an offer detailing the terms of your engagement.
Compensation
The remuneration for this role is unique in many ways. As mentioned, customer retention is crucial, so compensation is adjusted accordingly.
This role has no base pay, though you will get a commission after every job posted on the board by a client acquired by you. Also, you will get an increased commission after the first three posts of the newly acquired client. All the contributing factors will be transparent and easy to track by you.
For example, if you have twenty-five clients, each posting three jobs in the given month, and you acquire three new clients, each posting two positions, your commission will be: (25 * 3 * X%) + (3 * 2 * Y%) where X% is the regular, and Y% is the increased commission.
